PushUps For Charity 2013 Was A Success!

As most of you know, Village Coach Fitness, Inc. hosted the PushUps For Charity event this past Saturday!!! Us Village people (regular Joe’s and Jane’s) competed against the Riverside Fire Department, and the Riverside Police Department to see who could do the MOST (cumulative) pushups in 90 seconds….. Everyone showed up on time pumped and ready to push! We had Trixi the clown there to do face painting, balloons and entertain the kiddos (and some adults too). We also had Auntie Jackie there from Nutrilite pouring energy into a cup to help the participants out. Deborah from Origami Owl was there to make sure we were properly accessorized for the event! Erik the DJ was keeping us rockin’ with his little helper, Connor. And our VERY SPECIAL little guest, Kaylee, kicked off the event by singing the National Anthem with such passion it brought us to tears! Not to mention she knew ALL the words (unlike Christina Aguilera LOL!)

The Riverside Fire Department wanted to show their stuff and they went first…. Paul did 130 pushups in 90 seconds!!!! Way to go, Paul!!! When they were finished RPD was up to go next but was a little scared so us village people decided to let them go last…. We rocked those 90 seconds the best we could and our superstar Andrew pushed 103 pushups winning for our group! GREAT JOB Andrew!!!! RPD FINALLY got the courage to step up and show off what they could do!!! They pushed and pushed and pushed some more…. Until the buzzer sounded and their top participant, Jacob busted out 139 pushups in 90 seconds!!!! Way to go, Jacob!!!!! Congratulations to all the winners, you ROCK!

So, just to recap…. The final results are as follows:

Riverside Fire Department – Total for team = 979.

Top Participant was Paul with 130 Pushups

Riverside Police Department – Total for team = 610.

Top Participant was Jacob with 139 Pushups

Team Village Coach Fitness – Total for team = 546.

Top Participant was Andrew with 103 Pushups

I am sad to report that us village people got KILLED by the Fire Department and RPD…. BUT there is always next year… so look out guys, we will be working out our arms and we will take you down next year for sure!
