December 2016 Tribe Member Spotlight: Hard Working and Fun Brandi Troxel!

We are so excited to share the personal story about this months’ member! We love having her as part of our tribe and we hope you enjoy getting to know her a little bit more! Here is our December 2016 Tribe Member Spotlight: Hard Working and Fun Brandi Troxel !

Give us a little history about yourself.  Where were you born? Did you play sports growing up?

Mother and Daughter

    Mother and Daughter

I was born in San Bernardino, California, and I’ve pretty much been a Cali girl ever since, with the exception of living in Oregon for a very brief time. I have a 22 year old son, who I’m proud to say is in the Air Force. My daughter is 19, and most of you know her as Coach LG, or Lexy. She is a personal fitness trainer and one of our coaches at the Village (she kicks our booties)! My husband and I have been together for 26 amazing years (he was my high school sweetheart, but I wasn’t his, figure that one out!).

Father and Son

I graduated from North High School (go Huskies), and became a stay at home mom for a while, which I truly appreciate. Once my daughter turned three, I decided to go back to school and get my teaching credential. I went to RCC and received my AA, then transferred to UCR, and received my BA, and Master’s Degree in Education. I have been teaching at Fremont Elementary for the past 12 years and I love it!

I love spending time with my family and friends. I especially love to camp, go to football games (go Packers!), and travel to different places.

I love experiencing new things and meeting new people and I’m pretty much a flexible person, which means I’m usually up for anything within reason!

What is your motivation to work out?

I have always been a person who has done some type of workout or exercise. What brought me to Coach Fatimat and Village Coach Fitness was my principal and friend Shani Dahl. I started Teacher Summer Boot-camp, and realized the workouts and exercises I had done in  the past were not hitting specific areas of my body that the boot camp workouts were targeting. After that I was hooked!

How does working out make you feel?

I realized as I was getting older, I started to feel fatigued and I didn’t have a lot of energy to do the things I love to do. I started to workout at the Village and found that I was regaining energy. I started eating healthier and working out on a regular basis, and now it’s part of my daily routine. I continue to become stronger, healthier, and more energized each day.

What are your goals?

My goals are to continue a healthy lifestyle through workout and eating right. My new goal for the upcoming year is to work on toning my body by challenging myself during workouts, and eating healthy.

What do you do to make sure you have time for your workouts?

The great thing about the Village is there are multiple days and times to sign up to work out. If I find that I need to make an appointment or I have a meeting that ran late, I can reschedule for another day and time. That doesn’t happen very often, but it’s nice to know it’s an option that I have. I also know that if I do not push myself to go to my scheduled workouts, I don’t feel 100% that day. Of course there are days when my body wants to stay in bed (especially those early mornings), but my mind and heart push me to get up and get motivated (not to mention the amazing coaches and tribe members that support me and each other every day)!

What would you say to someone on the fence about joining the Village?

If you’re looking for a personal change (mentally and physically) you definitely should give Village Coach Fitness a try! Yes you can workout at a gym, but are there multiple people there holding you accountable, pushing you to do better, and making the workouts just plain fun and exciting to come to? At the Village, I have a support team wanting me to come to work out with them every day, pushing me to strive better constantly, and what could be better than working out with friends? At the Village we take care of each other (coaches and village members). We are a Family!

We LOVE you, Brandi and are so grateful to have YOU in our Village Tribe.  Thank you for sharing your story with all of us.

P.S. If you’re ready to make a real change in your life and join a group of incredible people, schedule a “Success Session“! Simply reply back to this email for more info!
